Can you Help at the End of the Year?

Dear Friends, I want to thank you so much for your prayers and support this year for the INSTAR project of World Missions and Evangelism.  And I want to give you the opportunity to Help this important project as we finish the year 2016. Amazing things have happened this year!  The Disciple Making movement continued to Multiply and many people professed faith in Christ and were baptized in water. We began the year in the INSTAR project with counting just over 2,800 groups and churches in Latin America and we are ending the year nearing the 5,000 group and church level!  God has done amazing things and many people have been trained to be disciple makers, and many people have been discipled in the new Discovery Groups that have been birthed! 2016 was a year of Multiplication! In 2016, WME was able to conduct several Disciple Making Movement training events. We did 3 training events in Mexico, one of which was with the WEC mission organization preparing Mexican missionaries for the

Giving Tuesday, November 29, 2016

Dear Friend This year on Tuesday, November 29th, World Missions and Evangelism is thrilled to take part in Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving. Giving Tuesday gives the opportunity to individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide during the holiday season.  Through the use of social media, the hashtag #GivingTuesday was created to encourage worldwide participation online so that anyone can get involved.  We are excited about Giving Tuesday and we want you to be also! World Missions and Evangelism is facilitating Disciple Making Movements in Latin America through our INSTAR Project.  We are expecting to reach at least 5,000 new groups and churches by the end of this year!  Thousands are being discipled to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Our goal is to see multiple movements be born throughout the 47 countries and territories of Latin America and the Caribbean that ultimately plants hundreds of thousands of new churches and

Happy Thanksgiving

World Missions and Evangelism wants to wish everyone a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING.   We have a lot to be thankful for.  God's blessings have been abundant towards WME and the WME missions projects and missionaries this year.  By years end we are expecting approximately 5,000 churches and groups to be reported as having resulted from the INSTAR Disciple Making Movement Project.  Thousands are being discipled and becoming followers of Christ and being baptized.  Lives and communities are being impacted by the Gospel of Jesus Christs.  People have been trained this year in Honduras, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Argentina.  The Megavoice studies have been translated into the Wichi language to impact this tribe in Argentina and the surrounding countries where they live.  The SEASTAR project has been born, providing training in Southeast Asia to focus on unreached and unengaged Muslim people groups.  New projects have been affiliated with WME in Jamaica and Haiti.   As I was thinking abo

A STAR is Born.

As we come toward the end of the year 2016, WME is happy to announce that: A NEW STAR IS BORN What do we mean by that?  Well for the last several years, in addition to being a missions sending agency that has missionaries and projects on every continent except Antarctica, WME has been focused on the Church Planting Movement/Disciple Making Movement Strategy.  Since 2008, WME launched a CPM/DMM project in Latin America and over time adopted the name INSTAR for the Latin American/Caribbean project.  INSTAR is currently set to see approximately 5,000 groups and churches as a result by the end of 2016! We chose the Word INSTAR to talk about the project in Latin America for 2 reasons: First and primarily:  INSTAR is an acrostic that explains the WME strategy to Catalyze Movements:    I Stands for Intercession and Identification.  Prayer and identifying unreached peoples and regions.   N Stands for Networking.  WME focuses on developing indigenous partnerships with local leaders.

The Fourth Quarter: Winning the Prize!

Image
We have entered the 4th Quarter of the year 2016. It is the 4th quarter because we are now in the October - December time period.  But as we are also entering American Football season, the term 4th Quarter has another meaning as well.  It is the final quarter of the game....the time where the thing is either won or lost. The game is not over until the final whistle blows!  And regardless of where we have been or what has happened in the first 3 quarters, the intensity has to continue until the final quarter is done.  So in the 4th Quarter of 2016, WME and the INSTAR project are going to continue to move forward in faith in God and stay faithful to complete the assignment God has given us for this year!!   When this year began we called it the year of the Vision and it really has been a year of seeing the vision for Disciple Making Movements in Latin America (the INSTAR Project) multiply in an amazing way.  2 trainings with the Amigos De Fe ministry in Puebla, Mexico helped open new d

The Full Story of the INSTAR movement up through July 2016

In 2008, when I started this blog, I wrote a timeline of the launch of the project.  In November 2011, I expanded that report greatly to bring the story of the HCPM work up to date.  Now I am reproducing that blog here and have edited it to bring it forward to the present and also to edit it based on new information. Breakthrough is happening, but here is a story of the road to breakthrough and the path of multiplication since breakthrough. God is doing a wonderful work, and any progress is only to His glory and power. We have done a lot of trial and error in the last few years, but the Lord of the harvest has been working His plan all along, through, with and sometimes in spite of us! Here is a timeline of what has been done in this project. September 2006: David Parish and Randy Travis take intensive training in C.P.M. principles from David Watson in Dallas. The H.C.P.M. concept is born. October 2006: Randy does research on C.P.M. principles. November-December 2006:
