2015: Year of a New Level

I believe that The Lord has shown me that 2015 is the Year of a New Level. We recently moved into a new house. My study is now on the 3rd floor. One thing I missed about our old house was my study/prayer room on the 2nd floor....a place where God had spoken many things to me. On December 26, The Lord spoke to me on the 3rd floor of the new house that he had brought me to a new level to see further. In Revelation 4:1 God took John UP HIGHER to give him revelation.....in the previous 2 chapters Christ was dealing with the present issues in John's churches, but now from the Higher Level, John got revelation on God's plan for the entire rest of history. I believe that 2015, for some, will be that kind of year. In this year we will be moved by God to a new level of thinking, understanding, insight, and impact for the Kingdom of God.  The INSTAR Project in Latin America is poised for incredible breakthrough in the coming year. Almost beyond belief, in this year of 2014 that is comi

WME Is Thankful!!!!!!!!!!

Here at World Missions and Evangelism, we are so thankful to God for His goodness.  His blessings this year have been abundant! Here are some of the things we are thankful for: An increasing Harvest of souls in the INSTAR (Latin American Church Planting Movement) Project.  In the Last 12 months 432 new Groups and Churches have been multiplied!  Total 859 Groups and Churches!  8,163 people are a part of these Groups and Churches.  In the last year, 1,423 have accepted Christ and 1,839 have been baptized. The INSTAR Project is already, or is preparing to walk through new doors into Guatemala, Ecuador, and Argentina.  In addition, Honduras,Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Mexico have been and are being touched.  We now sit on the brink of greater advance of the Gospel than ever before! WME is blessed to be touching many nations around the world through the ministries of our Affiliated Missionaries and Missions Projects!  Indonesia and Region,  African nations, China and its re

Transforming a Region: A Testimony from WME's Strategy Coordinator

The following is a true story  that shows what can happen when one focuses on seeing a MOVEMENT birthed in disciple making and church planting. To see a movement one has to focus on rapid multiplication and expansion concepts, and then make sure they are taught..learned..and put into practice. Through a training sponsored by World Missions and Evangelism, we trained Beto in these concepts (this a real person but a fictional name for the story) in November of 2009. He subsequently has taken the training numerous times and is now a trainer of others. This is the story of how the Gospel spread to the Patuca river area of Honduras. It is November of 2009. Beto has been invited to a training hosted by World Missions and Evangelism. This training is about making disciples and planting churches rapidly. This conference is taking place in the town of Catacamas, Olancho, Honduras. Beto was going to meet up with nine other people and take them with him to the training. However, on the way to

The Whole Story.....To God's Glory

In 2008, when I started this blog, I wrote a timeline of the launch of the project.  In November 2011, I expanded that report greatly to bring the story of the HCPM work up to date.  Now I am reproducing that blog here and have edited it to bring it forward to the present and also to edit it based on new information. Breakthrough is happening, but here is a story of the road to breakthrough and the path of multiplication since breakthrough. God is doing a wonderful work, and any progress is only to His glory and power. We have done a lot of trial and error in the last few years, but the Lord of the harvest has been working His plan all along, through, with and sometimes in spite of us! Here is a timeline of what has been done in this project. September 2006: David Parish and Randy Travis take intensive training in C.P.M. principles from David Watson in Dallas. The H.C.P.M. concept is born. October 2006: Randy does research on C.P.M. principles. November-December 2006: Randy Travis, Kei

Training Events in Honduras A Great Success

I have just returned from our very large Training Event near Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  It was a great time and we are very exited about this great event.  Our team conducted 2 different training events.  First we had a Level 2 Training event that was attended by over 40 people.  These have already been trained in the basics of church planting movements and have begun to implement the practices.  This training was for the purpose of encouraging these leaders and helping with issues that are being met in the field.  We had numerous comments that this was a very helpful event. Following this training, the team conducted the Level 1 training.  About half of the Level 2 trainees remained for the Level 1 training.  About 100 people took the Level 1 training, which is designed to cover the basics of CPM and disciple making movements.  This training included a spiritual focus with Anthony Fouts bringing messages of commitment and anointing.  The training was inspirational, informational, and

God is Moving in Honduras! Latest Reports!

God is moving in Honduras and Latin America.  We have just finished tabulating the most recent reports from the Church Planting Movement/Disciple Making Movement project there.  Every 3-4 months our team conducts an in depth analysis of the progress of the work.  The most recent report is incredibly encouraging, and gives evidence that a church planting movement is underway! Here are some quick snapshots: 3 Months work:  October-December, 2013 (The lag in report time is because of the time required to collect the data and assimilate and analyze it) 26 New Groups over all:  For a total of 453 Groups in Latin America 55 New Churches: For a total of 335.  (These represent groups that now have at least a core of believers). Total Baptisms in 3 Months:  542 Total New Believers in 3 Months: 515 At present it seems that the average is now nearly 6 people saved and baptized...EVERY DAY! And it represents a New Church Planted....EVERY 2 DAYS! As we rejoice over these reports, we k

Charging into 2014: The South Mexico CPM Training

I recently returned from Las Margaritas in Chiapas Mexico.  Our strategy coordinator team of Randy and Linda and Keith an Juanita Travis and I conducted our first training event of 2014.  We gathered with a group of about 25 Indian believers and leaders and conducted a very intensive church planting movement training event.  The event was coordinated with Missionary Ricky Parker.  We were elated at the eager reception of the training by the leaders.  There was an openness and hunger for the training and we are expecting great things from this group of leaders.  Several were equipped with Megavoice machines to use in beginning discovery Bible studies.  This is just the beginning of what we believe is going to be a great year of training and equipping hundreds of leaders in the church planting movement strategy.  The next training is coming up soon in the Tegucigalpa area of Honduras where we are partnering with Missionary Jim Martin and his organization, Honduras Ministries again.

2014:The Year Of INSTAR

The Spanish word Instar means to Urge or to Be Urgent.  I believe that this word sums up what we feel to be a theme for World Missions and Evangelism for the New Year of 2014.  The year that has just ended, 2013, had a theme of Open Doors….and it really proved to be such a year.  But in this New Year, I am impressed to think of the Urgency of the work of God among the Nations.    Missions work is Urgent because eternal souls are at stake.  Missions is not an optional task for God’s people….it is part and parcel of what it means to be God’s people.  When Jesus founded the Church, he was not starting an Institution, but rather He was starting a Movement.  The Early Church was a Disciple Making Movement that exploded through Israel and the Roman Empire like an unexpected Tsunami! The early disciples were obedient followers of Jesus who were discipling others constantly.  Eventually people in the empire called them the people “who turned the world upside down” (Acts 17:6).
