Great Report from Honduras and New Training this week

Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013 was a great day in the Honduras Church Planting Movement project!  One group of the leaders who have been trained and are applying the CPM principles and using the recorded DBS studies had a celebration in the state of Olancho.  Over 2,000 people were present.  About 1,800 of them are new believers in the DBS groups and churches.  On that day the group saw the baptism of 52 new disciples and the assembly took communion together!  We rejoice in this great report and thank God for the fruit of the work that has been going on so diligently!

Here is a link to a youtube video about the background to this celebration and scenes from Easter Sunday!   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C20L-KkSCh0

The roots to this great celebration go back to November, 2009, when 1 key leader received training from Randy and Keith Travis in Catacamas.  He applied the principles and used the studies and by April, 2011 there were 61 churches!  But the momentum of multiplication had slowed, so our leadership team conducted the training for a few leaders in Juticalpa.  By the end of that week in 2011, you could feel a new surge of excitement and commitment.  And now the numbers of disciples and churches have multiplied so greatly!  This Easter celebration shows part of the work, by no means the whole that has emerged from just this branch of the work in Honduras!

This week, April 10-14, 2013, the leadership team will gather near Tegucigalpa for a new training event.  Leaders are coming from far across Honduras to be a part of this training, as well as 3 trainees from the South American nation of Colombia.  A number of North Americans will be present as well.  Please join us in prayer for the success of this event!   Pray that the seed will be sown for new church planting movements in Honduras, Central America, Colombia, the Amazon, and around the world!
