WME wants to be a Blessing!

I want to take this opportunity to thank you, the readers of this blog, the prayer team for the Honduras Project, and the Financial Supporters of WME. Without you our missionaries and church planting team members could not be taking the gospel of Christ forward into the World. And to show our gratitude, WME wants to be a blessing to you, our faithful supporters.

First of all, let me suggest some ways that WME can be a resource to you or your church. If you do not already receive it, WME puts out a special print newsletter and also a news e-mail letter every other month. This newsletter allows readers to get reports and information about what is happening on the mission field. We also have a special prayer guide that we can mail to you to help focus prayer for the work in Honduras, and we send weekly updates by email each week. If you have not already signed up to receive the e-letter, and be a part of the prayer team, you can join by sending an email to dparish9@cs.com and asking to join the team.

2nd, I would love to come give a report to your church, Sunday School class, prayer group, or any group that would like to know more about the work of WME and the Honduras Church Planting Movement. We can be a resource to pastors, leaders, mission committees and other groups that want to have consultation on enhancing a mission program.

3rd, Our team has a variety of teaching and training events that can be presented to any sized group, from a small group in a home, to a church service, to a leadership group in any ministry or even business. Topics can be taught in as little as 1 session to as much as 4 day seminars. Topics that our team can present include:
1. Disciple Making Movements: Principles and Practice
2. Church Planting Movement Full Training (3-4 days, Multiple Speakers, Multimedia Presentation)
3. The Next Level: Taking your Church or Ministry to Greater Impact!

6. What in the World is God Doing? World Missions and Our place in it!

The Holy Spirit and Disciple Making Movements

Recently at the Disciple Making Movement leadership meeting in California, one of the main topics that we focused on was the Role of the Holy Spirit.  A key leader from West Africa led the discussion of this topic.  I remember being especially challenged by this study and by interactions with this leader.  He is a special friend who I have known since 2006, and his influence has touched me greatly.  In the last few weeks since the meeting, I have reflected, prayed, and begun to seek the influence of the Holy Spirit more than I had been doing in recent years.  Now I want to share some reflections on the role of the Holy Spirit in Disciple Making Movements (which may or may not reflect the discussions we had in California).  Regardless of where one stands theologically, it cannot be denied that those who focus attention on the Holy Spirit's activity have seen the launching of some of the largest "Movements" in the history of the Church.  Think of the Pentecostal/Charism

Non-Cessationist Sola Scriptura: The Theology of CPM

I believe in a theological position that I call Non-Cessationist Sola Scriptura. Sola Scriptura refers to the Reformation doctrine that means "Scripture Alone" and that asserts that the Bible alone, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, are the only inspired Word of God and that they are the sole authority for God's people, flawlessly communicating God's will to mankind.
