Looking Back at 2021 and Forward into 2022!

I want to wish all our supporters, those who pray and also those that give, a very Happy New Year as we start the Year 2022.  At WME we are calling this year the Year of Psalm 103....A Year of Trusting God for His Favor and Mercy and Grace!  The last couple of years have been very hard years in this world, but in spite of all that, the Work of the Great Commission has been continuing to advance.  First let's look back to see what we can report for the year 2021.

Between October and December, 2021, the 4th Quarter of the year, much progress was made.  Just look at this:

784 New Discovery Bible Groups and Churches

3,266 people that began the process of being Discipled in the Groups.

2,935 people that made professions of faith in Christ (New Converts)

2,900 people that followed the Lord in Water Baptism.

And the Movement grew to 34 Generations!!!!

Now let's look at the Total Increase in Groups and Churches, Conversions, and Baptisms for the Year 2021.  By the way, it was a record breaking year in Groups and Churches.....the Most By FAR of Any year since this INSTAR Disciple Making Movement Church Planting Movement Project launched in the year 2008!

3,937 New Discovery Bible Groups and Churches (Most in Any Year since the Project began!!!)

13,172 New Attendees in the Groups (Average 36 New Attendees per day in 2021)

11,172 New Conversions  (Average 31 per day)

11,244 New Baptisms (Average 30 per day)

Altogether since the project started in 2008 we have seen nearly  100,000  people involved in the new groups and churches we believe.  We have seen over 73,000 people make commitment to Christ.  We have seen over 69,000 people baptized!  This movement  is now 34 Generations Deep (Groups that planted groups that planted groups......to 34 generations).  

The Argentina Training School finished its first year and about 20 trained people have gone out to spread the gospel in various places and venues.  2 teams from the school are being deployed this month of January to engage 2 Unengaged Unreached People Groups, the Paraguay Wichi Tribe and the Argentina Quechua Santiago de Estero Tribe!  In March, New Students will arrive at the training school to begin the 9 month missionary training process!

In fact over 2,000 of the groups that we are counting in the overall movement have been planted in Argentina!

 People that our team has trained from Argentina are planning to go to Italy as DMM missionaries. We hope that they will be deployed this year.  Trainings have been happening in numerous Native American Tribes in the United States in 2021 and the first Native American training of 2022 is the first week of February.  People are being trained in the Caribbean. An important training in Dominican Republic is being planned for early 2022.  A project in Africa is equipping former Muslims to become Disciple Makers.  And in a large city in the United States, a specific Muslim group is being touched by one of our missionaries.  One of our Missionary couples are doing Online Disciple Making in Brazil as they prepare to move to Mexico and focus on 2 different Unengaged Unreached People Groups there for Disciple Making. This couple will be moving into an area of danger and we really want you to pray for them and all of these missionaries and teams that are the heroes that are on the front lines of the work. Sometimes our mind is spinning with all the new open doors that have come in 2021 for the advance of the Gospel and DMM strategy through World Missions and Evangelism.  

When the project began in 2008, through the ministry of our Training Coordinator Randy and Linda Travis and our Strategy Coordinator Keith and Juanita Travis we could not even begin to imagine the global impact that would eventually result from the seed that was sown by their training and equipping ministry.  Our Honduran Vision Team of Adiel Ponce, Daniel Ortega, Mario Mejia, Jacobo Hernandez, Oscar Hernandez, Carlos Andrade, Rigoberto Colindres, and all of their wives and children, along with the teams of leaders that work with them are amazing blessings from the Lord in the advance of the Gospel.  The ground that they have broken in seeing DMM become a reality in Honduras and Central America, is bearing fruit and planting seeds in South America, North America, Caribbean, Africa, and Southeast Asia!

Thanks be to God for His amazing blessing of the Harvest.  And Thank You, our faithful financial and prayer supporters for being a Key part of this ministry.  Without Prayer, nothing happens.  Without the Financial means, people cannot be sent or sustained on the field.  God bless you in a Special way this New Season of 2022!
