Great Reports from the INSTAR Project!

 November is the month of Thanksgiving!  And we have so many things to Give Glory and Praise to our Lord Jesus Christ this month.  We have just finished receiving and processing the field reports from the Honduras part of the project that we call INSTAR.  This is a Disciple Making Movement Project that is training and coaching people to be devoted followers of Jesus Christ, and to make disciples to Jesus, that make disciples that make disciples!  


Between July and September, 2021 lots of progress has been made.  Just look at this:

778 New Discovery Bible Groups and Churches

3,153 people that began the process of being Discipled in the Groups.

3,117 people that made professions of faith in Christ (New Converts)

3,074 people that followed the Lord in Water Baptism.


That means that our average was 34 Conversions and Baptisms PER DAY between July and September!  Glory to the Lord of the Harvest that is bringing people into the Kingdom of God and of His Christ!


Altogether since the project started in 2008 we have seen at least 86,000 plus people involved in the new groups and churches.  We have seen over 70,000 people make commitment to Christ.  We have seen over 66,000 people baptized!  This movement  is now 33 Generations Deep (Groups that planted groups that planted groups......to 33 generations).  


God continues to open doors and the work is also progressing in Argentina as over 1,700 groups have started there in the last few years as well.  We are seeing native missionaries trained in the Missionary Training School there and young missionaries will be deployed in January to 2 different Unengaged Unreached People Groups in Argentina and Paraguay.  People in Argentina are also being trained to go to Italy as DMM missionaries.  Trainings have been happening in numerous Native American Tribes in the United States this year and people are being trained in the Caribbean.  A project in Africa is equipping former Muslims to become Disciple Makers.  And in a large city in the United States, a specific Muslim group is being touched by one of our missionaries.  One of our Missionary couples are doing Online Disciple Making in Brazil as they prepare to move to Mexico and focus on 2 different Unengaged Unreached People Groups there for Disciple Making.  Sometimes our mind is spinning with all the new open doors that have come in 2021 for the advance of the Gospel and DMM strategy through World Missions and Evangelism.  


Thanks be to God for His amazing blessing of the Harvest.  And Thank You, our faithful financial and prayer supporters for being a Key part of this ministry.  Without Prayer, nothing happens.  Without the Financial means, people cannot be sent or sustained on the field.  God bless you in a Special way this Thanksgiving Season!

The Holy Spirit and Disciple Making Movements

Recently at the Disciple Making Movement leadership meeting in California, one of the main topics that we focused on was the Role of the Holy Spirit.  A key leader from West Africa led the discussion of this topic.  I remember being especially challenged by this study and by interactions with this leader.  He is a special friend who I have known since 2006, and his influence has touched me greatly.  In the last few weeks since the meeting, I have reflected, prayed, and begun to seek the influence of the Holy Spirit more than I had been doing in recent years.  Now I want to share some reflections on the role of the Holy Spirit in Disciple Making Movements (which may or may not reflect the discussions we had in California).  Regardless of where one stands theologically, it cannot be denied that those who focus attention on the Holy Spirit's activity have seen the launching of some of the largest "Movements" in the history of the Church.  Think of the Pentecostal/Charism

Non-Cessationist Sola Scriptura: The Theology of CPM

I believe in a theological position that I call Non-Cessationist Sola Scriptura. Sola Scriptura refers to the Reformation doctrine that means "Scripture Alone" and that asserts that the Bible alone, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, are the only inspired Word of God and that they are the sole authority for God's people, flawlessly communicating God's will to mankind.
