As the Year ends.....Amazing reports!
In Honduras the church planter felt that the Lord told him to go out to the town area. When he got there there were 4 men who were drinking and seemed to be drunk. He spoke to them and they told him they were thirsty for water. The believer went away and came back with some water for them to drink, and talked with them. God opened the door for him to share the gospel. Right then and there he led a Discovery Bible Study with them.....and these men made commitments to the Lord!
In Bolivia, the native translator took a couple of megavoices with him from the training he had attended in Argentina. His purpose was to translate the studies into a native tribal language (which process is finished and ready for recording). He heard of a person who was in despair and suicidal. In fact the person attempted suicide and the attempt failed by the grace of God. The translator sent one of the megavoices to the despairing man and before long the report came back. This man and his family were doing the bible studies and the man's life has been transformed by the grace of God.
These are just 2 stories that illustrate the amazing harvest that is happening in Latin America through the INSTAR project. As we are looking back over the last year we are amazed at the incredible things God is doing and the THOUSANDS of new believers, groups and churches that have been birthed in 2017!
This project began with a vision to see church planting movements in Latin America in 2006. In 2007 the Missionary Team of Randy and Linda Travis and Keith and Juanita Travis moved to Honduras to establish a base for training. In 2008 a team of Honduran leaders was recruited to receive the CPM/DMM training and to begin to reach out to the communities of Honduras.
There were 23 people involved in that initial team (including missionaries, men, women and children). By the end of 2008 they had started about 25 groups of people who were beginning to be discipled to be followers of Christ. In 2009, the team began to use the megavoice device to help facilitate the new bible studies.
Through many trials and dangers, the team continued to find people of peace and start discovery bible studies.....and as they planted the seed and watered the seed.....God began to give the Harvest!

April 2011 166 groups and Churches!
November 2012 266 groups and Churches
December 2013 453 groups and Churches
December 2014 1,244 groups and Churches
December 2015 2,810 groups and Churches
December 2016 4,962 groups and Churches
This represented THOUSANDS of new followers of Jesus Christ!
AND IN THE FIRST 9 MONTHS OF 2017: THE MOST RAPID MULTIPLICATION AND AMAZING NUMBER OF PROFESSIONS OF FAITH AND BAPTISMS
September 2017 6,840 Groups and Churches
Over 37,500 in attendance in all these groups
Over 25,300 professions of faith in Christ
Over 21,800 water baptisms
The project is touching at least 50 Denominations or Networks
The movement is 17 Generations deep
The project has touched in some way throughout these years the following countries: Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico.
The general populations of the countries have been touched, and in addition the following people groups are involved with Discovery Bible Studies as a result of the project: Miskito, Pech, Tolupanes (a UPG), and Wichi. Translations are being prepared for the Gurani people.
SO...As this year ends we are giving Thanks to the Lord of the Harvest for all that He is doing in Latin America. And the Vision before us is to see this movement continue to multiply until there are Hundreds of Thousands of new groups and millions of new Disciples of Jesus Christ and until All People Groups of Greater Latin America are Reached with the Life Changing Gospel of Jesus Christ!
