2nd Quarter 2017 Report (April, May, June) and A Special Invitation!

The results of the INSTAR PROJECT in the 2nd quarter of 2017
All Glory goes to God for this amazing report. God is building his Kingdom. We are trying to obey the Lord by praying, planting the seed of the Word, and watering the seed, and participating in the harvest. God gives the Harvest. We make disciples, God saves people and Jesus builds His Church. We thank God for the people that pray and give and those that help the team. Thanks to Keith Travis the Strategy coordinator and Randy Travis the Training Coordinator for their service. Thanks to the Honduran team of leaders that are serving God in this project. 
In this quarter (April, May, and June) more groups started and more professions of faith happened than in any previous quarter.
647 New groups started : averaging 7.188 groups per day
2,829 New attendees: averaging 31.43 New attendees per day
2,597 Professions of faith: averaging 28.855 Professions per day
566 Water baptisms: averaging 6.288 Baptisms per day (the only average that declined from 1st quarter, attention will be placed here in the next quarter)

16 Generations deep multiplication
We are praising God for this Harvest! It is His Work!  
But the numbers that motivate us are not those numbers....rather they are these numbers! Check out this current status about Greater Latin America. The number of people in Unreached People Groups is 7,399,110. The number in Unengaged groups is 556,260! The number of Non Evangelicals is over 500 million! These are the numbers that we focus on. Souls that have not become disciples of Jesus Christ.  
Praise God for what He has done. There is so much more to do!

The Holy Spirit and Disciple Making Movements

Recently at the Disciple Making Movement leadership meeting in California, one of the main topics that we focused on was the Role of the Holy Spirit.  A key leader from West Africa led the discussion of this topic.  I remember being especially challenged by this study and by interactions with this leader.  He is a special friend who I have known since 2006, and his influence has touched me greatly.  In the last few weeks since the meeting, I have reflected, prayed, and begun to seek the influence of the Holy Spirit more than I had been doing in recent years.  Now I want to share some reflections on the role of the Holy Spirit in Disciple Making Movements (which may or may not reflect the discussions we had in California).  Regardless of where one stands theologically, it cannot be denied that those who focus attention on the Holy Spirit's activity have seen the launching of some of the largest "Movements" in the history of the Church.  Think of the Pentecostal/Charism

Non-Cessationist Sola Scriptura: The Theology of CPM

I believe in a theological position that I call Non-Cessationist Sola Scriptura. Sola Scriptura refers to the Reformation doctrine that means "Scripture Alone" and that asserts that the Bible alone, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, are the only inspired Word of God and that they are the sole authority for God's people, flawlessly communicating God's will to mankind.
