A Special Message at the end of 2015

Dear Friends of WME and the INSTAR Project

We are coming to the end of 2015 and what a wonderful year it has been for the advance of the Gospel through the INSTAR Project!  We want to thank you  for your prayer and support of this project.  Recently we reported the amazing statistics for the last 12 months that we have tracked the amazing multiplication of groups, churches and new disciples to Jesus Christ.  From 4th quarter 2014 through 3rd quarter 2015, over 6,000 people made commitment to the Lord and nearly 5,000 were baptized!  There are nearly 2,400 groups and churches in the Project and the Project is moving forward to touch people in Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, Guatemala, Argentina, Puerto Rico and Ecuador!  All Praise and Glory to the Lord of the Harvest!

Now as we look to begin a New Year, it is with Much Excitement!  In 2016, there are beginning plans to train and mentor people in Honduras, Argentina, Mexico, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. Our Discovery Bible Study Recordings are in the Process of being translated into English, French, Portuguese, and Tribal Languages.  Our training has been video recorded and will be video recorded in another format to be used in a variety of places in Greater Latin America.

We are calling 2016 The Year of the Vision!  The Vision is to see Church Planting Movements/Disciple Making Movements seeded into every nation of Greater Latin America by the end of 2020.  We are getting ready to move forward in obedience to the Lord and are currently planning at least 20 Training events or Mentoring trips throughout Latin America in 2016.  Please cover the whole WME training team in Prayer.

As 2015 comes to a close, many of you may want to give a special End of Year financial gift to WME for this Project.  The biggest need as we begin the new year is funding for the Megavoice machines that are used to facilitate the Discovery Studies.  When all the costs are factored in, we need approximately 35 dollars per machine.  Each Megavoice will be used to begin at least one, and perhaps multiple, discovery studies.  Lives are being changed through this project.  If you can give toward this need you can give online at:

The Holy Spirit and Disciple Making Movements

Recently at the Disciple Making Movement leadership meeting in California, one of the main topics that we focused on was the Role of the Holy Spirit.  A key leader from West Africa led the discussion of this topic.  I remember being especially challenged by this study and by interactions with this leader.  He is a special friend who I have known since 2006, and his influence has touched me greatly.  In the last few weeks since the meeting, I have reflected, prayed, and begun to seek the influence of the Holy Spirit more than I had been doing in recent years.  Now I want to share some reflections on the role of the Holy Spirit in Disciple Making Movements (which may or may not reflect the discussions we had in California).  Regardless of where one stands theologically, it cannot be denied that those who focus attention on the Holy Spirit's activity have seen the launching of some of the largest "Movements" in the history of the Church.  Think of the Pentecostal/Charism

Non-Cessationist Sola Scriptura: The Theology of CPM

I believe in a theological position that I call Non-Cessationist Sola Scriptura. Sola Scriptura refers to the Reformation doctrine that means "Scripture Alone" and that asserts that the Bible alone, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, are the only inspired Word of God and that they are the sole authority for God's people, flawlessly communicating God's will to mankind.
