A Report from the Strategy Coordinators of the INSTAR Project

The end of 2014 is now history! We NOW have a NEW year to work and to live for the Lord. The year 2014 has been a great and exciting year of expansion in the Kingdom of God! In our October 2014 newsletter we wrote:
“We are believing and working hard to finish the year with 1000 DBS’s and churches. Only God knows... but we MAKE detailed SPECIFIC plans and then we WORK the plan. God gives the INCREASE as it pleases Him. Who knows what God may do? He may surpass anything we are planning! We just reach out in FAITH and WORK hard TRUSTING Him. TO GOD BE THE HONOR AND GLORY! By the end of December we will know what God has done.”
Well..... the end of December has passed. So, what happened? Are you ready for this? Well instead of 1000 DBS’s and churches we ended the year with 1244 DBS’s and churches. Many.. many of these DBS’s are churches! May the honor and glory be for God! Praise His Holy name!

May I say that faith without works is dead (“But wilt though know o vain man that faith without works is dead.” James 2:20 ) However, we also need to know that work without faith is vain. (Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it..Psalms 127.1) It takes believing and it takes doing. And to “do” you have to plan, and to plan you have to reach out in faith towards a mark, and trust God to open the way and make the vision become a reality.

In Octobers newsletter we also told the story of Don Felipe and how he opened the door to the gospel in the Patuca river area. That is, he became, what we call a prince of peace, instead of a person of peace (Luke chap 10). A Person of Peace opens the door and makes a decision for Christ but a prince of peace may facilitate the spread of the gospel in their community but may not themselves decide to follow Christ. Because of Don Felipes influence in that Patuca river area close to 3000 people have been saved. So, in Octobers newsletter we said:
“One of the strangest things is; that to this day Don Felipe still has not made a decision for Christ, nevertheless, even he,. is amazed at the transformation that has taken place.”
HOWEVER, prayer was made for Don Felipe after our October newsletter. Many people prayed for him. Are you ready for this? Don Felipe had a heart attack in November. As he was in the hospital in
delicate condition he called for Beto (one of our church planters ..not his real name) to come quickly to see him in the hospital. Beto went and guess what? Well I think you know. Don Felipe made a decision to follow Christ! Praise God! Sometimes we do not understand the workings of God but the glory and honor belongs to God! Don Felipe has now become a Person of Peace!
