God is Moving in Honduras! Latest Reports!

God is moving in Honduras and Latin America.  We have just finished tabulating the most recent reports from the Church Planting Movement/Disciple Making Movement project there.  Every 3-4 months our team conducts an in depth analysis of the progress of the work.  The most recent report is incredibly encouraging, and gives evidence that a church planting movement is underway!

Here are some quick snapshots:

3 Months work:  October-December, 2013 (The lag in report time is because of the time required to collect the data and assimilate and analyze it)

26 New Groups over all:  For a total of 453 Groups in Latin America
55 New Churches: For a total of 335.  (These represent groups that now have at least a core of believers).

Total Baptisms in 3 Months:  542
Total New Believers in 3 Months: 515

At present it seems that the average is now nearly 6 people saved and baptized...EVERY DAY! And it represents a New Church Planted....EVERY 2 DAYS!

As we rejoice over these reports, we know 1 thing for sure....This is God's work.  How thankful we are to play a part in this movement through prayer, giving, training, and sending!

To all the supporters and intercessors for this movement, we want to express our gratitude and ask that you continue your key work in seeing this Church Planting Movement continue and grow in Latin America.
Please Pray for the Upcoming CPM Training Event in the Tegucigalpa area.  Leaders will be trained from
February 24-March 2.  Please remember David Parish, Randy Travis, Linda Travis, Keith Travis, Anthony Fouts, Rigoberto, Daniel, Mario, Oscar, Carlos, Adiel, Jacobo, and others of the teaching team.  Also remember Jim and Frances Martin of Honduras Ministries who are hosting this event.  Pray for all the leaders, trainees, and all of their families during this important time.  Pray for health and protection, traveling mercies, and wisdom for all involved.  Pray for God to move upon and within everyone and that all the attendees will be equipped to find people of peace, begin discovery studies, and make disciples that make disciples leading to churches that plant churches!  His Kingdom Come!

David Parish said…
At least one of the churches is a Hybrid group. A Hybrid is a pre existing church or group that has transitioned to the discovery group model.

A Church is a group with at least a minimal core group of believers.

A Discovery group is a group without a minimal core of believers.
