14th World Missions Conference September 13-15, 2013

Dear Friends,
I want to take this opportunity to give you a special invitation to the 14th World Missions Conference sponsored by World Missions and Evangelism, Inc.  WME is a missions agency that serves missionaries and missions projects in North, Central, and South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia.  Our missionaries and projects are involved in Evangelism, Church Planting, Leadership Training, Orphan Care, Education, and Community Aid and Development.  WME was established in 1988 and is a 501c3 organization. 

The conference theme this year is :  THROUGH OPEN DOORS!

The conference will take place September 13-15, 2013 and will be Hosted at Oasis Christian Center, 3232 Buckner Lane, Paducah, KY 42001.  

This conference will be a special time of fellowship, refreshing, and practical information with a view to the Advance of the Gospel into all the world. 

Our speakers will be: 
  Pastor Nahum Hernandez
His life, his message, his delivery, his quest is to experience “extreme passion” in serving God.  The call of God on his life at the age of 17 has been confirmed through more than 25 years of Ministry.  Preaching the message of salvation in parks, schools, prisons, buses cities, villages, stadiums, and in many Nations.  God has allowed him to minister in different Nations from South America Central and North America and Europe.  His passion is to see the Church fulfill God’s purpose in this generation. 
Today Pastor Hernandez is residing in Auburn, Alabama where he pastors the International House of God.
 
Rev. Anthony Fouts:
Anthony has been in ministry and a pastor and consultant for over 30 years.  He is the President of Discovery Life Ministries and the Director of Church Growth Solutions.  He is the author of over 18 books, with 6 titles in Spanish.  His passion is to see pastors and leaders equipped for the harvest both in America and abroad.

I hope that you will be able to attend this very important conference.  The conference is free and it will be a special time to be blessed and equipped, and to meet new friends in the work of the Lord.

Food and Refreshments will be served after each session.

For those coming from outside Paducah, the conference Hotel is the Pear Tree Inn, 5006 Hinkleville Rd. Paducah, KY  42001.  The Room rate for the conference is 59.99 per nite.  When you register at the hotel tell them that you are with the World Missions and Evangelism Conference. The Holy Spirit and Disciple Making Movements

Recently at the Disciple Making Movement leadership meeting in California, one of the main topics that we focused on was the Role of the Holy Spirit.  A key leader from West Africa led the discussion of this topic.  I remember being especially challenged by this study and by interactions with this leader.  He is a special friend who I have known since 2006, and his influence has touched me greatly.  In the last few weeks since the meeting, I have reflected, prayed, and begun to seek the influence of the Holy Spirit more than I had been doing in recent years.  Now I want to share some reflections on the role of the Holy Spirit in Disciple Making Movements (which may or may not reflect the discussions we had in California).  Regardless of where one stands theologically, it cannot be denied that those who focus attention on the Holy Spirit's activity have seen the launching of some of the largest "Movements" in the history of the Church.  Think of the Pentecostal/Charism

Non-Cessationist Sola Scriptura: The Theology of CPM

I believe in a theological position that I call Non-Cessationist Sola Scriptura. Sola Scriptura refers to the Reformation doctrine that means "Scripture Alone" and that asserts that the Bible alone, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, are the only inspired Word of God and that they are the sole authority for God's people, flawlessly communicating God's will to mankind. The "Sola" or "Only" part asserts that nothing else does this or has this authority....Not Tradition, Magisterium, Hierarchy, Leaders, or Experiences from whatever source....ONLY SCRIPTURE!
