Charging into 2014: The South Mexico CPM Training

I recently returned from Las Margaritas in Chiapas Mexico.  Our strategy coordinator team of Randy and Linda and Keith an Juanita Travis and I conducted our first training event of 2014.  We gathered with a group of about 25 Indian believers and leaders and conducted a very intensive church planting movement training event.  The event was coordinated with Missionary Ricky Parker.  We were elated at the eager reception of the training by the leaders.  There was an openness and hunger for the training and we are expecting great things from this group of leaders.  Several were equipped with Megavoice machines to use in beginning discovery Bible studies.  This is just the beginning of what we believe is going to be a great year of training and equipping hundreds of leaders in the church planting movement strategy.  The next training is coming up soon in the Tegucigalpa area of Honduras where we are partnering with Missionary Jim Martin and his org...

2014:The Year Of INSTAR

The Spanish word Instar means to Urge or to Be Urgent.  I believe that this word sums up what we feel to be a theme for World Missions and Evangelism for the New Year of 2014.  The year that has just ended, 2013, had a theme of Open Doors….and it really proved to be such a year.  But in this New Year, I am impressed to think of the Urgency of the work of God among the Nations.    Missions work is Urgent because eternal souls are at stake.  Missions is not an optional task for God’s people….it is part and parcel of what it means to be God’s people.  When Jesus founded the Church, he was not starting an Institution, but rather He was starting a Movement.  The Early Church was a Disciple Making Movement that exploded through Israel and the Roman Empire like an unexpected Tsunami!
