What's Happening with World Missions and Evangelism?

Image
INSTAR   :  Coordinators Randy and Linda Travis: Randy and Linda Travis have been missionaries in Latin America since 1982. During their first 6 years in Honduras they pioneered a church in the department of Olancho. From this church, came a network of churches. By 2006 there were about 25 churches in Honduras as a part of this network. In addition, Randy pioneered the gospel with the Pech Indian tribe. The Travis family became affiliated with W.M.E. in 1988 and were W.M.E.'s first missionaries. Soon afterward they relocated to Chiapas, Mexico and spent a number of years in evangelism and ministry in the indigenous church there. Also during their ministry, Randy taught missions at the Omega Missions Training Center in Alabama. In 2006, Randy met David Watson and had the vision to see a new church planting movement emerge in Honduras. Randy and Linda along with their son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Juanita, moved back to Honduras in 2007 ...

How are INSTAR projects and missionaries impacting Latin America?

Image
INSTAR is the name that WME has for all of its projects in Latin America.  The overall goal is to make disciples that make disciples, and to do Kingdom of God ministry that will impact lives and bring transformation to lives and regions.  Here are some of the missionaries and projects that are bringing Transformation in Latin America! Candace Brown-Espinosa:  Candace has been a member of the Abraham Project team since March 2003. She traveled to Costa Rica with the purpose of volunteering for a humanitarian organization that focuses on women and children. She has worked in many aspects of the Project including six years as Team Coordinator, two years as Children’s Home Administrative Assistant, and as of January 2011, she and Aarón are now one of two new sets of house parents. Candace married Aarón Espinoza in 2005, and they have shared their lives with the church serving in many capacities. A Report from the Strategy Coordinators of the INSTAR Project

The end of 2014 is now history! We NOW have a NEW year to work and to live for the Lord. The year 2014 has been a great and exciting year of expansion in the Kingdom of God! In our October 2014 newsletter we wrote: “We are believing and working hard to finish the year with 1000 DBS’s and churches. Only God knows... but we MAKE detailed SPECIFIC plans and then we WORK the plan. God gives the INCREASE as it pleases Him. Who knows what God may do? He may surpass anything we are planning! We just reach out in FAITH and WORK hard TRUSTING Him. TO GOD BE THE HONOR AND GLORY! By the end of December we will know what God has done.” Well..... the end of December has passed. So, what happened? Are you ready for this? Well instead of 1000 DBS’s and churches we ended the year with 1244 DBS’s and churches. Many.. many of these DBS’s are churches! May the honor and glory be for God! Praise His Holy name!   May I say that faith with...

2015: Year of a New Level

I believe that The Lord has shown me that 2015 is the Year of a New Level. We recently moved into a new house. My study is now on the 3rd floor. One thing I missed about our old house was my study/prayer room on the 2nd floor....a place where God had spoken many things to me. On December 26, The Lord spoke to me on the 3rd floor of the new house that he had brought me to a new level to see further. In Revelation 4:1 God took John UP HIGHER to give him revelation.....in the previous 2 chapters Christ was dealing with the present issues in John's churches, but now from the Higher Level, John got revelation on God's plan for the entire rest of history. I believe that 2015, for some, will be that kind of year. In this year we will be moved by God to a new level of thinking, understanding, insight, and impact for the Kingdom of God.  The INSTAR Project in Latin America is poised for incredible breakthrough in the coming year. Almost beyond belief, in this year of 2014 that is comi...

Transforming a Region: A Testimony from WME's Strategy Coordinator

The following is a true story  that shows what can happen when one focuses on seeing a MOVEMENT birthed in disciple making and church planting. To see a movement one has to focus on rapid multiplication and expansion concepts, and then make sure they are taught..learned..and put into practice. Through a training sponsored by World Missions and Evangelism, we trained Beto in these concepts (this a real person but a fictional name for the story) in November of 2009. He subsequently has taken the training numerous times and is now a trainer of others. This is the story of how the Gospel spread to the Patuca river area of Honduras. It is November of 2009. Beto has been invited to a training hosted by World Missions and Evangelism. This training is about making disciples and planting churches rapidly. This conference is taking place in the town of Catacamas, Olancho, Honduras. Beto was going to meet up with nine other people and take them with him to the training. However, on the way...
