"I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name."  Revelation 3:8  We have declared this year, 2013, to be the year of "Simple Obedience, New Fields, and New Open Doors for World Missions and Evangelism.  When we look at the words of Jesus to the church of Philadelphia, in Revelation 3:8, we realize that it is God's job to open the doors.  But if God opens the doors, then it is our job to go through the doors!  (The scripture does not contain a promise that God will drag us through!)   So God opens the door, and no one can shut it while He holds it open, but during that time...that window of opportunity, we must go through.  And that is what we are planning to do this year.  God has opened several doors and the WME team is moving quickly to go through into new harvest fields!  Door Number 1:  Guatemala...

From all of us at World Missions and Evangelism, Inc., we wish you a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.  As I have thought about this new year, I realize that many people are filled with trepidation about what may be coming on the earth.  The economy has many people walking in fear.  But as I have considered the word of God, I am reminded of some great promises.  Specifically I have been focused on Matthew 6: 33- "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." I believe that as we continue to make our daily priority God's Kingdom (His rule in our lives and our obedience to Him, as well as the expansion of His Kingdom) and God's Righteousness (Our relationship to Him through faith in His blood, maintaining a clean walk through confessing our sins (1 John 1: 7,9)) He will meet all of our needs, in this economy or any economy!  This year I am standing on this verse and claiming its promise, as well as focus...

We are coming to the end of 2012....the year some thought would bring the end of the world.  Instead it has been a year of God's blessings for WME and the work of the Lord on the mission fields of the WME missionaries.  Here are some of the things that God has done through the missionaries and national partners of WME and through the faithful prayers of the 300 group and the faithful giving of all WME's partners and supporters. 1.  3 powerful and important training events for church planters in Honduras!  Over 150 potential church planters trained. 2.  New partnership with a Bible School in Honduras, training pastors and leaders for many of the new churches planted. 3.  At least 58 new churches planted in Honduras this year, perhaps a few more!  There is clearly a church planting movement happening there at this time! A great training event just ended in San Nicolas, Honduras.  The training went from December 12-16 and was focused on intensive instruction in Church Planting Movement principles, as well as practical training in the leadership of Discovery Bible Studies with a view to disciplemaking and church planting. This was our 3rd and final training event for 2012.  And it was the largest, both in total attendance, and in new potential church planters trained.  Over 100 people attended at least some portion of the training and 80 potential church planters took the entire training.  Over 100 megavoice devices were distributed so that the trainees could immediately begin to apply what they learned.  In all 11 different denominations were represented and we have key contact leaders in each of these groups. (In 2012's 3 events, over 150 new potential church planters have been trained for the first time). In 2008, when I started this blog, I wrote a timeline of the launch of the project.  In November 2011, I expanded that report greatly to bring the story of the HCPM work up to date.  Now I am reproducing that blog here and have edited it to bring it forward to the present and also to edit it based on new information. Breakthrough is happening, but here is a story of the road to breakthrough and the path of multiplication since breakthrough. God is doing a wonderful work, and any progress is only to His glory and power. We have done a lot of trial and error in the last few years, but the Lord of the harvest has been working His plan all along, through, with and sometimes in spite of us! One of the key parts of a Disciple Making/Church Planting Movement project is the task of tracking progress.  It is also one of the most difficult parts.  The reason is that a "Movement" is by definition.....Moving.  Like is said of the river, you never step into the same one twice, because the water is moving.  Since we started in 2008, the Honduras Project has been in a constant state of movement.  Thus the numbers of Discovery Bible Studies and Churches are always changing.  In the early days our top team was in close contact with all of the DBS groups....then as new people and groups were trained, it became harder and harder to keep track of all that is happening in the Project. Until last May, the majority of our reports were the result of interviews with the key leader.  We realized that we needed to find a better way to track what was happening so we created a reporting process that would give us  "hard"...

How much remains to be done to complete the great commission in Latin America.  I ask this because I realize that most of the "unreached people group" task remains in the region called the 10-40 window and since, according to the Joshua Project, there are more than 7,000 unreached peoples we must focus on finishing the task where it is unfinished.   Our agency has missionaries working in and out of the 10-40 window and WME is about to deploy a missionary to focus on Disciplemaking in the Indonesia area.  We have adopted the Southern Africa Disciple Making Movements and have a missionary couple preparing to launch new DMM outreach to tribals in Botswana. So we are engaged in those areas. But our primary project for Church Planting Movement/Disciple Making Movement strategy has been in Latin America.  Our goal is to see multiple church planting/disciple making movements occur until the task is completed in Latin America....and simultaneously and subsequently, to...
